The first of the 'Lips albums to enjoy good sales figures, largely on the back of the unlikely popular success of their She Don't Use Jelly single. The song is by no means representative of the rest of the album though, which was the first to feature the extrodinary guitar talents of Ronald Jones and Steven Drozd behind the drums. The unmistakable Flaming Lips experimental sound still underpins the album, but it is aurguably unique in their discography for venturing into the mid-90s grunge pop sound, perhaps as a result of Keith Cleversley's production. The vinyl issue was pressed up on vibrant translucent orange wax, but there is little else to note.
