This is a quirky release on Sub Pop label, who asked The Flaming Lips to contribute to their 'singles club' series. The title track is a reworking of the song Drug Machine in Heaven that appeared on Telepathic Surgery, and is backed with a curious medley of two cover versions, The Sonics' Strychnine and Nick Lowe's What's So Funny ('Bout Peace Love and Understanding); needless to say, there is a funny story behind that incongruous pairing, but it is well documented elsewhere The single was released in a screen-printed picture sleeve with striking graphics by Art Chantry, and limited to 1500 copies. A further 1500 copies were released in Europe on the German Glitterhouse Records label, with the same artwork but with the colours reversed.
